Before anything else while I am online today, I went to the CNN website and voted for Efren Peñaflorida as CNN Hero of the Year. Who hasn't heard about Efren or Kuya Ef or the kariton teacher?
Efren Peñaflorida is a 28-year old Filipino
teacher who founded the Dynamic Teen Company. For the past 12 years, Peñaflorida and his team of teen volunteers have taught basic reading and writing to children living on the streets. Their main tool: A pushcart classroom.
Watch Efren and the DTC in action and see for yourself if he deserves to be the 2009 CNN of the Year. :)

He won! Just this morning I read the headline from Yahoo. Great, i voted for him and I also have a posts in my blog encouraging Filipinos to vote for him.
