Let's Plunge Into Darkness For Mother Earth

In observance of this year's Earth Hour, let us all switch off our lights for one hour.

For the past two years, the Philippines ranked first worldwide in terms of the total number of cities and towns that participated in the Earth Hour. Ten million Filipinos in 647 towns, cities and municipalities switched off in 2009, while 15 million Filipinos in 1076 towns and cities joined the 2010 switch off.

Tonight as we join the world in this environmental event, let's go beyond the hour --- let us pledge to reduce our consumption of power, water, other critical resources and adopt energy-efficient practice and lifestyle.

It would be nice to take a walk or better yet ride a bike tonight in the dark. :)
