I love pampering myself with a good body massage.
Whenever I'm in Manila, my sister and I never fail to visit the Ace Water Spa. I really love that place! It is said to be the first spa in the country that utilizes "ultrasonic jet system" to massage specific areas of the body. It is really a huge water park. There's a 25-meter 4-lane swimming pool and a "swim and play haven" for kids. My niece and my daughter really enjoy the Lazy River. They also have fun with the 20 different ultrasonic massage systems. For soft massage, one can try the bubble bed, bubble pool, hydro-acupuncture bed. The bubble massage system has air and warm water coming out from the surface of the pool surface to massage the whole body. Sarap talaga!! If you like hard massage, there are several water systems that use high and low water jet nozzles that produce strong water pressure like the waterfall massage.
For me, the most relaxing area there is the hot aromatic herbal pool. The mint pool has a temperature of 36 degrees Celsius. One can only dip there for 3 minutes only and then take a quick dip in the cold pool. Super lamig talaga! I really don't see anyone dipping there but people use the bucket splash to cool down. Next you go to the Jasmine Pool which is 38 degrees Celsius and the last pool which has a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius is the Lavender Pool. After a dip in each of the three herbal pools, I feel fully relaxed, my body aches are gone and I'm just ready to go to sleep. LOL.
Always remember to cool down after dipping into the hot herbal pools.
This process is called Contrast Therapy Plunge. It is a special hydrotherapy experience wherein an alternate plunging in the hot herbal pool and cold pool is involved. Immersion in the hot herbal pool opens up the pores to allow the release of body toxins while stimulating blood flow to the core of the body while tightening the pores. Alternate immersion is recommended to keep the body temperature and heart rate at a healthy level. After your heavenly spa experience; a bowl of steaming hot nido soup is offered to you without additional cost at the Ace Coffee Lounge.
Ace Water Spa is truly a spa for the entire family. It is a place where one can relax and soothe aching muscles while bonding with friends and loved ones.
